America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- September 19, 2016 – September 23, 2016 Remember 9/11

Hello!

A few headlines from the weekend, and a few thoughts for the days ahead….

Authorities begin to tie the two bombing sites, NYC and NJ, together.

Then there is Saint Cloud, MN, clearly an Islamic terrorist attack, whether the state’s Governor can recognize it or not as such.

President 0 angrily vows he will be insulted, personally insulted, if Hillary! is not elected. Oh dear….I must reconsider my November vote based on this concern for the poor man. Why would I want to hurt his feelings????

Remember that old slogan: Annoy the media, vote for Bush? Well we can resurrect that, updated, as the media, much of it anyway, is going full attack mode on Trump. It really shows just how worried they are about Hillary’s own efforts to claw buy her way into the WH.

  1. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

Today my mother declared my bedroom a disaster area. I would like to request federal funds to hire a crew to clean up my room. I am prepared to provide the initial funds if you will provide matching funds for this project.

    – 7th grader Andy Smith in a 1984 letter to Pres Ronald Reagan (who responded to clean his room)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Perfect! How you doing?

We are meeting my cousins for dinner out tonite, plus joining us is our friend who lost her husband in June. Not much of Fall in the air…on the ground some dry leaves, tho.

    • lysie says:

      Enjoy your night, Molly.

I’m doing well ‘cept still can’t get comfy to sleep. At least my pain level has dropped. Yay!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

So….Cruz has, or will shortly, endorse Trump….which reminds me of the Bush family….loyalty should be a 2 way street. Many of the “Deplorables” supported W and his people thru thick and thin. It wasn’t always a comfortable fit as the years drew to a close, but we did it. Now where is their loyalty to those supporters? The ones, who, voting for 1 and 2 Bush, could just not warm up to 3? That family needs to put aside its personal issues with Trump.

    • edinva says:

      Amen, Molly, Amen.

I read that Hillary! gave a front row seat to Mark Cuban to “psych out” Trump. Is she kidding? If they really think that will psych out Trump, they don’t know the man. They just wasted a perfectly good seat.

I had suggested a few months ago, tho, that Trump should invite those women who were either assaulted by or had affairs with Bill Clinton, and who were then subjected to Hillary & Co’s ‘nuts and sluts’ smears, to sit in the front row with his family. A few Benghazi family members in the front row would be good, too.

But the idea that Mark Cuban (or pretty much anyone) could intimidate/psych out Trump is laughable.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Interesting strategy ED

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  3. Prairie says:

Halo, everybody, halo! Greetings, checking in tonight I had Mr. Prairie’s sister and her hubby here for FIVE nights. I’m whupped. BUT we had such a great day yesterday. First, there was a BOBCAT on our driveway and three out of four of us got to see him very well. Later in the evening we saw 2 or 3 small herds of ELK, usually a cow and calf harem and now, an adult bull, herding them around.

We drove over to a WOLF PRESERVE yesterday and saw many rescue wolves and got to go in an pet some of the “Ambassador Wolves” who are taken to schools etc. so people can see a live wolf. Three times, all 31 wolves currently in the preserve broke into group howling…wolf song! That was so wonderful to hear. To go into the Ambassador Wolf area, we had to learn how to act around wolves, what not to do etc. A little tense but fun. They want to lick your teeth (pack behavior) and you’d better let them if they make a move toward that. I was able to pet one without the teeth-licking requirement but one licked-up Mr. Prairie like crazy. It’s said she will remember him now for the rest of her life.

I sorta had to wonder if part of it was the ham sandwich he’d had a bit earlier though……:)

Awful videos coming out about the Rent A Mob in Charlotte, trying to throw a reporter into a fire, kicking a homeless white man to the ground and stomping him and gang-beating another white man as he begged for mercy. Funny how those videos never seem to make it onto Fox News…….

  4. Molly Pitcher says:

Evenin’ everyone. Wondering about tonite in Charlotte, and praying for some calm and reason to take over. Is that too much to ask for?

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  6. The Raven says:

Boy, I was just sitting here thinking of the wealth of material Hillary has for anti-Trump commercials. How is it possible that he can even be this close? I assume the worse is yet to come as we get closer.

Heading home today and will miss the Friday follies. Get well wishes out for Jem & Lysie!!

Morning quote and Dems in the news:

” … it’s possibly criminal and it is sick”

    – NY Gov. Cuomo on Anthony Weiner’s latest problem.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

yes….you reminded me of a new Hillary! commercial I saw last night in the middle of last night’s ball game……AAAARGH….it was a string of Rs like our friend from S. Carolina, and Sen. Flake, and several more…..speaking out against Trump. Just as we knew the Dems would use these people, they have.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      And safe travels Raven

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Cute and colorful! Very nice. Thanks lysie

    • Molly Pitcher says:

This reminds me…last night my husband went to a prayer meeting/support group for people dealing with and caring for elderly parents. The response was good. The leader opened up with a story from the material he was using to get the group thinking and going.

Here’s the story: A woman was cleaning out the birdcage with her vacuum cleaner. When the phone rang, she left the vacuum…on…forgetting about it. So she returns to find the bird gone…sucked up in the cleaner! What to do? She found the poor thing alive, but dirty, and so washed it. that set the bird off , shivering terribly.
Now what? The woman went to get her hair dryer! Well she used that on her pet bird, dried him off, but the bird never sang again.
I think the idea of the story is that some days it’s just one hazard after the next. My husband says he was the only one in the group who laughed, as I did when he told me. You know? It’s just a crazy story….poor bird.

    • edinva says:

Molly, clearly the group leader was pointing out, especially in dealing with the elderly, that a solution for one problem can so easily lead to yet another problem. We certainly had that years ago when one of my (non-elderly) sons was a death’s door. Each medicine that helped with one issue inevitably brought about another problem … eventually it all worked out, but it’s amazing to watch how each ‘solution’ can create its own new set of problems. And before you know it, your patient is on 20 different medications, each battling another, if not the originating ailment itself. Vicious cycle.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good explanation, yes. And it just doesn’t apply to meds, either.

    • Jemian says:

Well, pneumonia again. Going to bed.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh dear, oh dear….take it easy, and get well. Can you take anything, or is it viral?

    • Jemian says:

we’re assuming it is bacterial. Today I just switched over to Levaquin. I will redo blood work on Monday or Tuesday.

    • Jemian says:

The give-away was when the x-ray tech came out with a mask on as he handed me the film.

    • lysie says:

Get well prayers for you, Jem.

    • Jemian says:

Pretty sure it is bacterial. The worst part is having to find subs for next week and develop lessons for while I’m gone. Ugh!

Thank you, ALL, for your get-well wishes.

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning! We are getting an extra dose of summer this week. I will have to remember that in January.
      How are you this a.m.?
Remember Ari Fleisher? Bush One’s Press Sec? Well, he has publicly declared for Trump, strong anti Hillary, thus breaking with many old friends. I mean…they are not happy with him..
Check up went well. Both eyes corrected as dr. had hoped, so I have been able to order new glasses. I saved some money by using my 2 yr. old frames…just got new lenses. The glasses those had replaced are good enough for me to wear for a few days. The past 10 years or so my eyes had not significantly changed…just the cataract problem.

    • lysie says:

Happy the check up went well.

    • edinva says:

Good news on your eyes, Molly! Having cataract surgery was one of the best things in my lifetime!! So glad yours was successful. lysie, hope all’s moving along well for you, too.
I see our POTUS went to the UN claiming that for the UN mission to succeed Americans will have to give up some freedoms. Really? Oh, really? Can 1/20/17 come soon enough? I also read that at one of the many fundraisers or labor union rallies, he made a comment along the lines of: If a guy [Trump] ives to be 70 years old and has done nothing for the working man, what makes you think he’ll have your back now?” Uh, well, methinks Mr. Trump has written a few more checks for the “working man” AND ‘working woman” than our Golfer in Chief can even imagine. Gee, offering a job, a paycheck, and benefits for everyone from housekeepers to building engineers, golf pro’s, caterers, etc., etc., etc is doing NOTHING for the ‘working man?” (Notice the sexist term “working MAN” used by a “progressive”)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning ED.. I agree: Jan. 20 can’t come soon enough. 0 compared Muslim refugees to Jewish refugees pre WWII. The man is delusional, historically ignorant or both…probably both.

    • The Raven says:

Ari for Trump? I just got done reading Victor D Hanson’s “Never Never Trump” and assume there will be a lot more like that.

      Nice quote there as well:

News seems defined now as what information is necessary to release to arrive at correct views.

Lysie — Hope you are well. I’m here at the in-laws where two have had hip replacements in the last year. They were both commenting on instructions they received – I was surprised that they are limited in what they can do for up to a year. Did you get the “movement” restriction instructions yet?

      Great Headline:

Obama lectures Republicans on Work Ethic and then Goes Golfing

      Morning Quote:

If a man were to do that to a woman today, he would likely be charged with sexual assault, found guilty, be ordered to pay a serious sum of money to the woman, be sent to prison, be civilly sued and be labeled a sex offender — effectively ruining much of his life.

Dennis Prager on Alfred Eisenstaedt’s picture of an American sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square in New York City.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, but then there is this:

More Rs to endorse Hillary? Makes me sick, sick

    • lysie says:

Yes, Rav. I did receive the instructions.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Sometimes Hanson’s pieces really move me…he has such a long historical view, which lives and breathes the stoicism of those ancient peoples he has studied for so long.
then there is his own personal tragedy of a few years ago. Anyway, the piece I linked was one of those times where his writing brought tears to my eyes.

    • tillacum says:

      Good Morning All.
That’s interesting about the in-laws restrictions. Is it because of their age, I wonder.
The only restriction I was “cautioned” about was fully bending over, because my replacement is steel. But the order was Keep Walking !!! Actually I have incorporated
my therapy moves into my exercise program. It’s been 12 years and hasn’t been one
      problem.
It is STILL HOT and muggy in central Texas. UGH!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi till. Sounds like a good plan you’ve had all these years.

    • lysie says:

Greg and I went to the camp for a few hours. We had a nice chat with my aunt and almost like an uncle Gary. (they have been together for 50 years)

After that, Greg and I did some grocery shopping. Walking up and down the aisles felt wonderful having little or no pain. It tired me out a bit, but the exercise did me good. I’m now home..resting.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Excellent!

  9. The Raven says:

Obama Blames Conservative Media’s ‘Misinformation’ for Close Presidential Election

    What conservative media?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, there is some, and Hillary would love to shut it all down.
Speaking of that….a new, conservative social media has be set up to challenge Facebook!!!
      I will link it later….

  10. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. (Avast, tiss a fine sunrise all ye pirates)

  11. Molly Pitcher says:

Sound of Music actress dies Aw….nice obit with lots of memories and tributes.

  12. The Raven says:

This is the second time that bad news for Hillary was wiped out by other events. How does she do it?

  13. Jemian says:

Hello! To start things off we have “International Talk Like a Pirate” Day. I would, me hearties, but I always sound super dumb when I try. It is week 6 at school and I am taking this entire week off. You may remember that I had a touch of something this summer. Well, it began coming back and I need rest. So, I’m getting some.
