A rare white hummingbird was first seen at the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum in May. Now, people from all over the Bay Area, the country, and even the world are going to the gardens hoping to see the beautiful bird.

If 2016 were about policy…..

    Good morning everyone.

There’s a reason the libs are blaming Russia for the WikiLeaks and I have a sneaky suspicion it is because it’s impossible to prove it isn’t and they can use the “foreign power meddling in an election” to squash anything that comes out in the next few days that is really bad. Maybe that practice run on shutting down the internet was Obama !!! Not the Ruskies.

    Hi everyone.

    Lovely hummingbird photo lysie

      Hi, Molly and Jem.

Jem, good to see you got your internet back! We are so spoiled. How did we ever live w/o internet? I had TWO Verizon techs here this week, in addition to untold hours on the phone with their colleagues, but finally, finally, got good internet service. I’d been disconnecting every 10 minutes. AND, the wireless wasn’t working properly so I’d have to use an ethernet cable. SO, for today, all is good with the world.

What do you all think of Trump’s “First 100 Days” pledge? He had such massive crowds in PA/VA/OH … “They” are telling us that doesn’t matter, tho we all remember how important it was for Obama. What trust has been lost in this country, in its institutions!. Can’t trust a single word you hear on TV or read in the paper, sure as he## can’t trust the govt, thanks to Comey and Lynch, Obama, Clinton, et al. They are brainwashing our kids in the universities. We have a long way to go if we ever want a USA as we’ve known it. But the powers that be are all consumed with some foul ‘locker room’ language caught on a hot mic 11 years ago?

Happy Sunday! The change in weather here, that 20 degree drop in a matter of hours, gave me a cold that just came on around midnight last night. So today I am staying home to nurse it, using massive doses of zinc and drinking juices. Notice there’s no juice in lysie’s breakfast photo? That’s cause I drank everyone’s share. Didn’t want to spread the wealth at Church where there are a lot of old people (as opposed to ever-young me!)

    • lysie says:

      Get well, ed.

Trump suing is more important than any pledge, don’tcha know. /s

lysie, as part of the test of our phone/internet lines, the tech yesterday put on youtube and wanted it to play for a while. OMG … it was a CNN show with a host named Brianna and Kellyanne Conway. Never appreciated just how good KC is. She kept knocking the little twit’s arguments about how CNN had covered the Bill Clinton assault victims, how their claims were ‘exaggerated,’ KC just kept pounding her (with a sweet smile on her face) … saying, you’re making my point! It was brilliant. Per your comment, one of KC’s larger arguments was that DJT would give a 45 minute talk at a rally, 43 minutes of which were related to policy and maybe 2 mins, defending charges against him, but that all the media would cover would be the 2 mins.

I LOVE the First 100 Days Contract.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hope you are feeling better soon ED. Still busy visiting various relatives. Now we learn there is another wedding in the family next summer…very nice indeed.
One thing out here that is new…way too many accidents due to marijuana use.
UGH, UGH!! we have seen 3 accidents in 2 days, and we are driving around in a small area of a few miles. It is just incredible….weather is perfect…driving conditions are perfect…but the drivers…something is really , really wrong.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • tillacum says:

Thank you lysie, we’re having that this a.m. Getting ready for the Alabama/Aggie game.

    • lysie says:

You are welcome, till. Enjoy the game.

    • edinva says:

Good morning, lysie, and thank you for the hearty breakfast as we finally have Fall-like weather here. 20 degrees cooler than this time yesterday. Obviously, we enjoyed an odd late October heat wave over the past week. Maybe we’re back on track.

We’ve had so many internet issues, Verizon has now twice in the past week sent out techs to try to fix it. MAYBE it’s OK now. For the past few months I’ve had to connect to the router using an ethernet cable. At the moment, at least I am running wireless, and it’s held for over an hour since the tech left. Fingers X’d.

I am amazed at Mr. Trump .. today he’s in Gettysburg, PA, Virginia Beach, VA, then Cleveland, OH. I have no idea how he does it. Even given having his own airplane, and staff to do all the “stuff” most of us mere mortals must, such as shopping, cooking, laundry, etc., it’s phenomenal that he has that much energy to go out and talk for half hour to an hour. I would imagine the crowds are energizing, but still. He’s 70 years old with the stamina of a healthy 30 year old. Personally, on a physical/energy level, I’m closer to Hillary! But that’s where ANY similarity ends.

Have a great day and weekend, everyone.

    • lysie says:

Hi ed. The rain we didn’t have in the summer we are having now. Close to 4 inches and still coming.

I think Trump and his followers “ignite” each other because the all want to MAGA.

    • edinva says:

lysie, glug, glug, glug … that is one heckuva lotta rain!! We had a bit yesterday but it’s sunny now.

I’m kinda chuckling here… over the past few days we’ve gotten email after email “Trump is coming to VA, join us…” blah, blah, blah. BUT he’s going to VA Beach, a full 4 hour drive from here (without traffic, a situation that NEVER, EVER happens). Had I but known he was going to Gettysburg, PA, I’d have happily done that 1.5 hour ride.

    • The Raven says:

Beat ’em up, till. They kicked our butt last week

    • Jemian says:

Till! I am sad. I had such high hopes for A&M. Oy vay! They have such big heads. I think they are all RATS in that part of the state. I wanted you to take ’em down big. Very, very sad.
