America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- November 21, 2016 – November 25, 2016 Remember 9/11

The parade of visitors to Trump continued thru a busy weekend in NJ. Now action returns to NY and announcements are expected very quickly.

One visitor early this week is supposed to be Rick Perry.

Meanwhile reports out of the WH indicate an 0bama plan to lead the anti Trump forces after the President leaves office. Now one Jimmy Carter was enough. 0bama would be Carter x 10. Yikes!

  1. The Raven says:

I hope Auburn wins today !!! Today is the Iron Bowl and also No. 3 Michigan at No. 2 Ohio State

  2. The Raven says:

EdinVA…..I saw an update on the 6 electoral faithless voters. It was a fake anti-Trump news story….Politico reports the electors in question are “mostly former Bernie Sanders supporters who hail from Washington state and Colorado,” which means they are Clinton electors. If they prove faithless, it would widen Trump’s margin—not that it matters, for at least 37 Trump electors would have to defect to deny him a majority. Hah !!!

    • lysie says:

I bet the libs will think she’s a man. Libs saying “KT? Why doesn’t Trump use her real name instead of KT? Afraid to admit she’s a woman and he wants everyone to think he appointed a man?” Some stupid thing like that.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Possibly…some are that stupid, and others quite devious….
A little, I hope, cloud is appearing on the horizon in the form of a recount in WI…recounts are baaaad. Saw a mention of this somewhere earlier

    • edinva says:

G’day, Molly, all … not pleased with this recount because these people are just not trustworthy. Think of Franken/MN and – what do you know? a boxful of ballots in someone’s trunk! They are the sleaziest people on earth. Of course, Hillary!’s prints can’t be found on this because of her reaction to Trump’s statement about accepting election results if they went against him and saying not if it looks rigged. So the recount is rigged. She starts w/WI, then MI and PA. If nothing else, and they can’t complete the recount (which in MI took till this week for the original) the state’s EVs are eliminated from the 12/9 vote (as I understand it). Not hearing much grumbling from the Trump Camp or anyone else, even most on the left think it’s a ridiculous waste of time. Nonetheless, givent he lack of trustworthiness with Stein/Soros/Clintons, et al., it’s at least a minor concern.

    • The Raven says:

She’s deputy to Flynn (a Democrat) who’s already creating a stir – link

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  4. lysie says:

    Prayer for the Nation

Almighty God, who has given us this good land for our heritage; I humbly pray that we may always prove ourselves a people who remember your favor and are glad to do your will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way.

Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought here from so many different lands and languages. Grant the spirit of wisdom those to whom we entrust with the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to your law, we may demonstrate your praise among the nations of the earth. In times of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in days of trouble, do not let our trust in you fail; all which I ask through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  5. lysie says:

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Good morning.

  6. lysie says:

Great Stossel article, Molly. Yes..”Get government out of the way, and respect every individual’s property rights. “

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes, Property rights are the foundation of liberty.

Good morning everyone…trying to stay on track today…weather is helping.

Hope some of the snow , at least a little, disappears soon for you lysie

    • The Raven says:

And Trump just picked a school choice advocate for Education. I am getting more optimistic by the day,.

Shouldn’t we have something like the death penalty for messing with the electoral college? Can you imagine the reaction of Trump voters if they voted for Hillary? There would be a war. Hillary should disavow the alt-left and say she won’t accept the result if they do end up cheating.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Dems prepare to enjoy the Holiday

The Left never disavows or apologizes is what I am thinking….

    • edinva says:

They are really amping up the calls, based on NO evidence, for recounts in WI/PA/MI. And, I heard (true or not) that there are 6 faithless R electors willing to vote for Hillary! I thought you had to be pretty “in” with the wining party to become an elector.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Dang this is getting worse and worse.

    • edinva says:

Just as an FYI, late this afternoon I received a text (because a real CALL would be asking too much) from the son-in-law, re-extending the Thanksgiving invitation in case our plans or minds changed. DH really wants to go .. he’s more torn about the strife than I am. So after a few hours of thinking on it, I agreed that we will go. I will keep my car keys handy. Stay tuned.

    • The Raven says:

EDinVA…..I have been wondering what would happen if an unscrupulous foreigner (Soros) would dabble in bribing the required electors to vote for the crooked lady. Should it not be a huuuuge crime to tamper with electors? I mean, what kind of precedent would it be? And what would happen if they succeeded? Would Trump supporters say…oh that’s nice? Or would a gazillion of them march on Washington and change it back?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

ED It sounds like you have a “game plan”. That’s good. That was nice of you to be willing to go and hope it turns out well. As Dennis Prager said the other day, “you can’t fire family”. This way of putting it struck a chord with me…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Excellent question Raven…is this unprecedented? Tampering, possible bribing, pressuring…what are the consequences??

    • edinva says:

Molly and Rav … it’s a crime to intimidate a voter in an election, why wouldn’t it be a crime to intimidate electoral voters? Each elector is actually casting a vote for approximately half a million people. Some of these electors are not only being ‘lobbied,’ as the MSM would have it, but are being threatened! How electors appointed by their state’s party could be bought off, or intimidated or in any way persuaded to change their vote is beyond me. These are not random people found in the phone book. They are party activists within the state. But leave it to the left to try to change their votes. As to Soros … wouldn’t it be a whole lot cheaper to invest in a few electors here and there than putting millions into the primary and general elections.

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • edinva says:

G’day all… hopefully all who are traveling today will stay safe.

So it looks like #NeverTrump’er Nikki Hayley will be U.S. Ambassador to the UN. Fine. Not sure how they snuck a woman in there, tho 😉 I am so sick of this quota nonsense. If they are all white, Protestant males or all brown Buddhist women, I really do not care. Just give us competent people.
I am still waiting for him to appoint Jeb! to be Secretary of the Dept of Energy.

Back to my domestic arts program … have a good day, everyone!

    • lysie says:

Good morning. Yes, ed. Competency should be the most important.

If I don’t “see” you tomorrow have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning…I was just reading about the unhinged Dems/Left/Progressives…what a way to start the day. Your breakfast helps a lot!

    • lysie says:

      Unhinged..yes indeed.

Good morning, Molly. The snowfall has lessened. Yippee!

    • The Raven says:

Yep..I saw Hadid’s mockery of Melania’s accent on the AMA awards – what a head shaker. You know now that they simply don’t believe their own rules. They are just out for power and will never see the hypocrisy.

And the death threats against the electoral college !! Is there any doubt the “end justifies the means” crowd cheats at the voter booth and anywhere else they can?

      Morning quote:

If Mr. Trump wins, voters will be saying more than that Mr. Obama’s leadership didn’t quite work. They’ll be saying he was such a failure that they lurched desperately toward someone who’d blow the whole system up.

      – Peggy Noonan back in July

    • lysie says:

I sort of agree with Noonan, however I don’t think going back to following The Constitution and the beliefs of our Founding Fathers is blowing the whole system up. It’s returning to what is right.

    • The Raven says:

I think she means the Obama legacy…blowing up his policies.

    • lysie says:

After I posted that, I realized that is probably what she meant.

How are you doing, Rav? Want some snow to keep you busy? LOL

    • The Raven says:

Not so good…our pup somehow tore another tendon .. we had to end her suffering and mrs raven and I both had a good long cry

    • lysie says:

      So very , very sorry.

      Hugs for you and Mrs.

If I didn’t love pets so much I would never have another just for that reason….so sad to let them go. Still, the joy they give us and the joy we give them is worth it..I think.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh am sorry to hear about your loss. Poor thing. You gave her good care and lots of love thru it all. Just remember that.

    • edinva says:

      Good morning, everyone!

Rav, I’m sorry to read about you loss of your pup. It’s always so agonizing to lose a pet.

lysie, I read the Syracuse area has @ 2′ of snow, more in surrounding area than in the city itself. Oh, I do not miss NY at all! The first snow is always so pretty, then its beauty declines with each new snowfall.

Met what I hope is our last court deadline yesterday. I HATE, LOATHE, and DESPISE deadlines. Good and ready to retire once and for all. Not sure DH agrees, so we shall see. We both enjoy the work itself, it’s just the d****d deadlines.

So, with that behind us, I face the more daunting challenge of clean up. Home and office. Yikes. So glad we’re not having ‘company’ this year! Did do my shopping yesterday. When I went to Staples, in the same shopping center as one of our larger supermarkets, it was jammed. Monday before Thanksgiving! So, decided to get all my T’giving dinner shopping out of the way, as well as anything we might possibly need until next Monday. I just don’t want to have to go out again. Imagine what Black Friday will be like!

Hopefully we’ll have even more to be thankful for as President-Elect Trump (doesn’t that sound so good?) makes more Cabinet and other high level appointments. January 20, 2017 just cannot come soon enough.

    • lysie says:

Hi, ed. The snow is melting a bit. We have had snowfall like that in the past, but this was early and very heavy snow….very.

Greg asked if I wanted to go shopping Friday. I said , no way. I don’t need or want anything that much. Once again , I will go the gift card way.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Your news is always interesting ED Good luck with the transition…your own transition. LOL. Supposedly Black Friday is dying down…still not sure I would want to go participate even if less crowds than formerly….

    • Jemian says:

Oh, Raven. I am so very sorry. Life has enough sorrow just between humans. And, the love of a dog… How sweet, special, and kind. It has a special poignancy when we must say good-bye. I’m sorry.

  9. lysie says:

Ack! About 2 feet of snow has fallen and more coming.

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

Horrible outside. It looks like at least one foot of snow and more coming. Boo!

I’m asking for prayers. Sarah’s co worker’s husband was killed in a truck accident yesterday leaving 2 young boys 😦

Also yesterday, Sarah’s bf John’s mother is in the hospital after surgery for a very serious colon infection. She will be there for at least one week.

      Thanks for the prayers.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh no!! Of course, will add these families and situations to my prayer list. Golly, what tough news to absorb for them. Thanks for letting us know.

Also that police officer in San Antonio. Terrible, and sure hope that the killer is captured.

    • lysie says:

      Thank you, Molly.

That shooting , in my opinion, is the result of O’s wishy-washy policies on crime.

    • The Raven says:

Morning all. I have a question. I’ve been under the impression that when the left demonized the military, especially returning Vets form Vietnam, they got such a backlash from the voters that they were the ones that started saying “thank you for your service” which was phony since they don’t mean it.
I remember it came out of nowhere… if the Dems sent out a memo or something.
But I do hear people on the right saying it also.

      Am I correct on that?

    • The Raven says:

Suppose Soros offers electoral college voters $10,000,000 to change their vote… you think they will accept?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      That is one scary thought!

    • lysie says:

Correction..Greg said we have 18 inches and more coming. 😦

    • The Raven says:

I couldn’t watch the AMA awards last night……really bad anti-Trump stuff

  11. tillacum says:

Good Morning everyone. Sorry I’ll miss breakfast with y’all. We’re heading south to spend shopping and Thanksgiving with friends. About 6 of will be meeting with our friends in south Texas. It will be fun.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, eat too much, enjoy some football games. We’ll be playing LSU. Hopefully they’ll be full of turkey.

  12. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

The Emerging Democratic Majority”—[is] now available in hardcover from Amazon for 1 cent plus shipping

    – WSJ’s James Taranto on the 2002 book which put forth the argument that demographic change made Democratic ascendancy inevitable.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

LOL! I MUST get that book!

    • The Raven says:

Their Supreme Court outlook is also shaky. Ginsburg is 83, Kennedy is 80, and Breyer is 78. They probably wish they had retired under Obama.

Could be 4 appointments coming up and a possible 7-2 majority (Roberts, Alito, Thomas + 4) or is that wishful thinking?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I guess we should be thankful they waited! I will add that to my list this holiday week….

Raven, If you and prairie have any dry eye problems following the surgery, and need drops…be sure to get ones that are Preservative free. These kind are available now. The older ones which still have the preservatives…well, those actually add to the dryness…very counter productive.

    • The Raven says:

My doc gave me some eye drops for that (synthetic tears)…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes…good. just make sure they are preservative free. preservatives dry out eyes.
If the drops are in small, one-use packaging, they are probably preservative free. If in a bottle container…likely they have preservatives.

    • The Raven says:

It is in a small trial size container.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

well, that doesn’t sound like a one-use size then…small, but not one-use. I sound like I am harping on this, don’t I?, but this is fairly new understanding of what helps and doesn’t help dry eyes, and it really made a difference for me. Refresh brand artificial tears preservative free is one product.

    • The Raven says:

I am not a dry eye drop candidate…..Used them only once in the last 30 + years. Didn’t know about preservatives……and just read up here

    • Prairie says:

I’m using Refresh, Molly…on occasion. I see the surgeon this afternoon and will have many question for him. Have a great day everybody and I’ll try to check in later.

    • The Raven says:

Prairie….I have light streaks (rays or starbursts) with night lights and I understand they should go away with time

  13. edinva says:

HI, Molly, all (wanted you to know I got the notice!)

It’s sounding like Trump is far more Christian than I if he’s seriously considering Romney as SoS. Maybe he’ll appoint Jeb as Secretary of Energy? Oh, well. Gotta have a broad governing base and at least Romney would look like an SoS straight out of Hollywood casting. The other appointments sound outstanding and I hope he does appoint Mattis and makes our military (leadership) great again!!

Winter, or at least late Fall has arrived. When we were leaving for church this am, my indoor/outdoor temp said it was 64 outside, nice warm. By the time we got there, half hour away, temps had dropped to 48 and it had become very windy. Big Brrrrrrrr. Naturally, I’d dressed for the higher temps but at least we were parked nearby.

Strain in the family over election. Big, bad strain. DH and I will dine alone, which will beat dining with my Kommie Kids. I opted out, just don’t need the drama. DD is beside herself and cannot understand how dear old mom and dear old dad could possibly have voted for Trump. Surely senility has set in. I am hearing similar stories far and wide from friends and associates. Silly kids. My hope is that our granddaughter will thank us, profusely, one day. Am very proud of one of my sons who stood up to the bullying from his sibs and peers and told them flat out that he would not vote for Hillary! He then proceeded with a rant vs. Obama and Democrats, generally (without expressing any great love for Rs, either). He’s on the same $hit list as mom and dad. Ain’t life and families grand? God bless America.

In the meanwhile, yesterday I had a wonderfully pleasant lunch with an old roommate from 40+ years ago, diehard Dem. Politics never came up. Guess we’ve both been thru enough elections, win some, lose some, to risk the friendship. Grownups are like that.

Looking forward to the announcements to come out in the week ahead. Am very impressed that Melania and Barron will stay in NYC at least till the end of his school year. I’d hoped for that. Why would they want to go slumming?
