America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- December 12, 2016 – December 16, 2016 Remember 9/11

AlGore has produced a sequel to Inconvenient Truth and just as winter arrives, and more importantly, honest scientists begin to suspect the earth is turning toward a global cooling period. That AlGore…what timing he has!

And speaking of inconvenient truth, here’s a real, non-fake, one: over the 0bama years….the years we have grappled with 0Care…life expectancy has dropped in the U.S. That has not happened too often in this country, so another addition to the outgoing President’s legacy!

  1. lysie says:

Oops! Forgot TGIF! How about a late one??

  2. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Hope you are feeling better, Molly, Take care.

    • lysie says:

      Here you go, Molly. ((hugs))

Hey Rav. I woke up to 1 degree temperature this a.m. How about you? LOL

    • edinva says:

And if the chicken soup doesn’t work, up next: hot toddy. Joining in wishes for your feeling considerably better, Molly.

Cold, cold, cold here. I know it doesn’t compare to OH or CNY but still. As a Christmas gift for one of my sons I offered to get new tires for his car (pretty desperately needed from what I understand). So, he puts it off and puts it off and puts it off. By Monday I threatened to withdraw the offer and buy him and his twin bro matching Christmas sweaters instead – a gift that they quietly hated that they got every year from an aunt, that whole matching thing always bugged them. ANYWAY, he finally brought the car to the shop on Wednesday after weeks and weeks of mild temps. Yesterday, when it was 25 degrees, feels like 10, I (foolishly) offered to walk to the shop that’s 1.8 miles from my home to pick up the car with its pretty new (matching) tires. I had on layers and layers, a down coat, more layers … and I thought my skull was going to freeze, it was that brutally windy. So, instead, I walked .8 miles to the bus stop and rode from there. Some of us are not cut out to be pioneers!!!

Have not turned on news yet … can hardly wait to see today’s version of desperation from the Dems. It’s gotten beyond insane. Not sure how they think this is going to help in future elections? I can’t imagine there are non-political types who are observing clearly sore loser behavior from people who should know better. We’ll see. In the meanwhile, I’m staying indoors today and hoping Molly is feeling chipper.

    • lysie says:

Good morning, ed. Sometimes my adult kids drive me nuts, too…. procrastinating at times.

In all honesty, I can’t keep up with all the negative news coming from the dems and their media.

    • The Raven says:

It’s about 60 in the morning. Hah

    • The Raven says:

Those electors getting threats of violence from the libs – that will pale in comparison to what will happen if they do change their votes. Resurrection of the guillotine and torture cells.

  3. lysie says:

Sarah had her NYS Vet Tech exam yesterday. She passed. Needless to say, things at home are much calmer. 😉

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning lysie….sick here, so heading back to bed. It’s better to be inside anyway…the cold is just awful out there.

    • lysie says:

Oh Molly. I’m so sorry. Yes. Stay in bed and feel better soon.

    • tillacum says:

Good Morning lysie, Molly and Rave. It’s even very cool in central Texas. We’re going to have freezing weather tonight. I’ll have to bring some of my flowers into the garage and cover my rose plants. I need to pick some kale before the freeze and cover them up too.
Need to spread some chicken litter in two of the raised gardens and cover so the litter
will kill the weeds and seeds before spring planting. OH the life of a small “farmer”.

      Molly please take care.

You’re right about the Tea Party people.

How about the dems accusing the Russians of helping “us” choose Mr. Trump for our
next president ! Honestly, they will make up any kind of silly story to get their way. AND
it’s hard to believe there are people out there who believe the dem LIES. Have any of
the “important” notables, ie, Cher, and the rest of that ilk, moved to Canada? I’ve noticed none have mentioned moving to Mexico or any other south American country.

    • edinva says:

Sorry to see you feeling poorly, Molly…. just DO stay inside, rest, drink lots of liquids and get better. A friend recently suggested elderberry syrup (and lozenges with zinc), available at health food stores, I guess … said her cold disappeared within a half hour. I went out and bought some vs the next cold to darken my door. As an alternative, tea with lemon and honey always worked for me, together with a LOT of old timey Vics VapoRub.

Another way to get better …. don’t follow the news today. The Dems are way beyond insane with what they are pulling now.

    • lysie says:

Good morning, ed. I’m a Vics VapoRub fan.

  5. The Raven says:

    Morning quote

You take three Tea Party people in the House, they got more energy than the entire 75 member Progressive Caucus.

    – 82 yr old Ralph Nader, commenting on the lack of energy with the Democrats (Hat tip James Taranto )

  6. The Raven says:

How can we believe anything the Dems say? They lie and cheat. Did I mention they lie?

  7. lysie says:

For Those in Need of Strength

    I pray, Lord

For all who will need strength and courage in the day ahead.
    For those who face danger.
For those who risk themselves for others.
For those who must make an important decision today.
For people who are seriously ill.
For those facing persecution or torture.

I ask you, Lord to give them the power of your Spirit.

  8. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Windy and very cold here.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

And very clear here after days of cloudiness…a very large moon set about 30 min. ago…quite a sight for the second month in a row.
Staying in today for the most part…meeting tonite out away in the country, but will have traveling company, so that is good.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a day without Dems complaints, whines, and nastiness?? Oh for that Christmas present!

    • lysie says:

      Good morning, Molly.

Staying home in this weather is an easy task. 😉

Dream on . It is what the dems are. Spoiled brats who lie. Still , it would be nice for it to stop for a day or two.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Believe I heard that Alan Thicke has died suddenly…unexpectedly…a heart attack? A famous tv Dad…and one in real life too.

  9. The Raven says:

    Afternoon quote:

Part of me thinks this is really a political stunt to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president,

    – Clinton appointed U.S. District Judge Wiley Daniel denying a request by two Colorado electors who contended that the law binding their vote to Colorado vote winner Hillary Clinton violated their First Amendment rights.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

So..Rick Perry at Energy. Good you think?

    • edinva says:

hopefully Rick Perry’s mission at Energy is to dismantle the place. At a minimum, one hopes he cuts it down to an efficient, productive size

    • The Raven says:

Yes … good. I’m withholding judgment on Sec State. Also Interior

    • edinva says:

Unfortunately, there is no bottom for these people. Even assuming their recount, strategies to enlist ‘faithless electors,’ insistence on an intel briefing, etc. … assuming all those fail … they plan to disrupt the Inauguration.

I’m not too sure how they think that will work. Regardless of who is being sworn in, Inaugurations are massive events, full of supporters of the new POTUS. They make the Trump rallies look empty. Inaugurations are more like a massive “March on Washington.” Do the potential disruptors think those supporters won’t interfere with whatever actions they have in mind? Law enforcement is imported from across the country. There are cops from NYC, Chicago, Dallas, LA, and other cities. Also the military is there in force. Snipers on every building between the Capitol and White House. Has Michael Moore considered that? Or is he all bluster?

The weather you’re enjoying, Molly and lysie, will be upon us by the weekend. Right now it’s sunny and mid-40s. By Saturday we could only hope for that. I’m supposed to go to the “Wreaths Across America” on Saturday but if it really is miserable, may cancel. I’m too old to take a chance on pneumonia. Fortunately, there are LOTS of healthy young people who happily lay the wreaths.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Ok….Ryan Zinke for Interior…Montana guy, a vet. I really like him.

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  11. Prairie says:

Laughable about the donks claiming Russia interfered and influenced our election when they didn’t say one single peep when Obungo directly tried to influence Israel’s last election.

Good evening all. Very busy here. Last year at the pre-Christmas pot-luck here in the park, there were NO religious Christmas carols sung, just secular ones and NO prayer before the meal. So, taking the matter into our own hands, we’ve formed a group to lead the singing, will have a violin, I’ll provide back-up on guitar, Jesus Christ WILL be lifted in song and a prayer WILL be said prior to the meal. I’ve called an informal rehearsal for tomorrow afternoon. Sheesh. What is wrong with people where only Rudolph, Frosty and Jingle Bells was sung and no prayer said when it has always been traditional to lift a blessing before we eat? (rhetorical question) Still, if Christians don’t step up as examples, we have no excuse to complain then. So, we’re stepping up.

Hope all are well here. Will check in as able.

    • Jemian says:

All is well and it is well here, too. I am proud of you Prairie, for stepping up and making sure the King is honored.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning! Excellent account prairie.
You heard about the restaurant patron in FL who complained about the religious Christmas music??

    • The Raven says:

Podesta is insisting they present their case to the electors. My guess is that screaming you heard last night was not the Voice finals, but Hillary telling Podesta that it was his emails (not her server) that was the reason he lost and he needs to fix it or she won’t pay him. How many people reported in the exit polls that they voted against Hillary because of Wikileaks? Zero? The MSM suppressed it anyway.

    • The Raven says:

It seems to me that Christmas music on Sirius has changed. I used to complain to my wife that 100% of their “Holly channel” was free of Christian references (“Holiday music with no songs with Jesus, God, Holy, etc)…which results in many, many repeats of Frosty the Snowman and Grandma got run over by a Reindeer (once in a while they’d sneak in Burl Ives in Holly Jolly Christmas)… but this year I guess they got a new DJ….I heard a bunch of real Christmas music that would annoy a lib.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, that’s good! Maybe they figured there was an audience for that music. Hallelujah!!

    • Prairie says:

No Molly, I haven’t heard about the diner complaining about Christmas music. Did Christians in the restaurant tackle him and pummel him about his ears? (Hah!!) JK….)

Going to play cribbage with friends at a fellow park tonight. Hope there are at least of couple of people who are mostly beginners like we are……

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Would love to hear how the cribbag goes prairie. Hope it was fun!

    • Prairie says:

Thanks Jem. How are you feeling these days?

    • Jemian says:

I am feeling well, Prairie. Actually, very well. I don’t have any real idea of how I’m doing. I’m not under a doctor’s care. I wasn’t instructed to return for further testing, nor was I giving any particular protocol. I have been reading up on alternative cures and treatments and am following some of the ideas. I don’t really feel, at this point, any pressure of time to handle this.

One thing I am trying to do is become more alkaline. So, to measure it I need some litmus paper. I chuckle every time I think of what happened next. I write a good friend in the states and request that he send some to me. I figure litmus paper is small and will fit into an envelope. But, he knows what I request as staples. He also is sending over some Christmas presents. The TWO BOXES weigh 34 lbs and 20 lbs. It is a total of 7.8 cubic feet!

Litmus paper sure has grown since I’ve been in high school.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Well, it seems to me like you are taking the right course: being proactive, taking control as much as you can…all good in so many ways.

  12. edinva says:

If they didn’t have the full-throated support of the MSM, the Dems would be in deep kimchee. They ARE in total disarray and nowhere near getting over the emotional letdown of 11/08-9. Their DNC Chairman (Keith Ellison, are you kidding me???) won’t be in place till March, they have 25 Senate seats to defend in ’18, and Trump is doing all the things needed to hold onto the voters he won this year, and then some. I am enjoying every last second of their discomfort!!

  13. The Raven says:

    Morning Quote:

“I’m not so much a Republican as I am someone who votes against Democrats to stop what I believe to be a hard-left, centralized, top-down totalitarian form of government that is now the official philosophy, especially after Obama, of the Democrat party”

    – Actor Nick Searcy responding to a “young friend” who wanted the actor’s honest reasoning for voting for Donald Trump. More here

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh that is interesting…good luck to Searcy for going public…

Good morning Raven . How is FL looking?
and ED…0 is planning a Farewell Tour….! did you hear that??!! Good morning.

    • edinva says:

Molly .. one thing about Obama, Clinton and Carter… they don’t know how to step quietly from the limelight. They think it’s their purpose to stay on stage and criticize their successor. My memory is that nothing like that happened pre-Carter. I don’t remember the last R POTUS who stayed and criticized his successor. So now, it will be interesting to watch O’s ‘Farewell tour.’ I imagine he’s hoping to attract the same sized crowds as he did in ’08 and that Trump attracts today. He’s even staying in DC after 1/2/17. Typical hypocritical D: you won’t find an African-American or Hispanic in that zip code unless they’re Foreign Service or cutting grass or cleaning toilets. Same for where the Clintons’ DC digs are. Just deplorable!!

    • lysie says:

      Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

I think he has the same opinion a lot of us have.

    • The Raven says:

Florida is warm !!! 80 F and sunny. Just got here so unpacking and setting up stuff (like sat TV, internet, etc). This year the internet seems to be working like a champ !!! Last year it was on and off.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

A frosty good morning lysie. the snow plow has been around thank goodness. Ah for the warmth of Florida!

  14. edinva says:

Six more weeks for O to create havoc. I hear he’s filling every board, commission, dept with ‘his’ people as he goes out. Also heard some ‘marginalized women’s’ group is going to hold a march on the Mall right after the inauguration, haven’t gotten permits yet. Due up right after the inauguration is the annual March for Life. It would be intersting if both groups converged at the same time at different locales near the WH. Oh, I cannot wait till the WH has its new occupant!!!!!!

    • The Raven says:

And how about (after MI, WI, and PA go bust) the uproar about fake news followed by, you guessed it, fake news. The Russians did it. With help from ET and the Argonauts. You can’t make this stuff up. Priebus blew it up, though – said the RNC wasn’t hacked as reported by the Times
