It’s snowing and windy again this morning. Kind of puts a damper on a good morning mood. 😉

Oh and the Obama’s are taking a long needed vacation in Hawaii. By long needed I mean we need them away from the White House for a long time.

Dems begin to realize 0 decimated their party DE Examiner….some Christmas present!

      Hey there…isn’t this winter something…already?
I am watching a funny Cary Grant movie on TCM. Thank God for laughter and silliness.

Hearing about 0 tell the Russians to “Cut it Out” didn’t help recovery yesterday, and that was followed by a bitter dose of Michelle’s “hopelessness has returned” theme. UGH.

But then there was the podium sign that Trump has been using at his recent rallies: Merry Christmas USA. I don’t know…there is just something sweet about that.

Resting and watching light, wholesome movies is a great combination to get past illness. Is there anyone from this generation who can match Cary Grant ?

    • lysie says:

Rest, relax and laugh….Cary Grant…one of my favorites…especially comedies. Enjoy!

Hey, Jem. You okay? Friends on FB are concerned about the earthquake.

    • Jemian says:

Yes, I’m fine. I slept through any earthquakes. There was one a ways offshore in PNG and another in the Mambrano area here. Perhaps what was really recorded was hubby’s snoring.

Speaking of hubby, I think he and Molly have been infected with the same bug. He went no where yesterday, but slept mostly. I made a cauliflower creamed soup for him for supper last night. After he ate that, he went back to sleep.

We didn’t get the snow …. but are blanketed in ICE!! VA Dept of Trans telling people to stay off the roads. One fatality on Beltway and lesser crashes all over town because people don’t know to stay off the roads or don’t know how to drive on ice (who does?) I skipped the “Wreaths X America” this morning .. was not about to go out on the ice. Not sure how I’d get there, either. Maybe bus to Metro and walk, but am afraid to break old bones that don’t ever heal all that well. I imagine a LOT of people braver than I showed up anyway … have not seen an email rescheduling for later today when all the ice should melt starting @ noon when temps rise. Tomorrow it’s supposed to rise to @ 60. Go figure.

Really bad here in central Indiana. Can’t even get to the mailbox. Molly, where are you?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Am here…just not much energy…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Looks terrible. Everyone be careful out and about.

    • mustknowhistory says:

Well, I finally braved the trip to the mail box by strewing kitty litter in front of me.

Snow and ice, ice and snow and old bones. I do not blame you at all for not going out. My big splurge yesterday (Saturday) was going down to a beauty salon at about 1100. I requested a pedicure and what is called reflexology. I have fallen in love with pedicures! My toenails are so smooth. They buff the nails until they shine. (I always have liked my feet!)

But the reflexology! I wasn’t sure what it was exactly. I thought it was a foot massage or something like accupressure. What I wanted was a good, deep-muscle foot massage. This was a foot massage on steroids! Every muscle from just above my knees ( no higher!) was massaged and massaged. Pressure was put in specific places. Sweet smelling oils were used. Tendons were stretched and restretched. By the end, there was simply no tension in my legs or feet at all. Definitely something to have again.

I left the salon at 1430. Yes, it took that long.

    • lysie says:

Get well prayers for your hubby, Jem. The accupressure sounds addictive. LOL

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Jemian I have heard good things about reflexology…I would love to give it a try. My dr. used it for dealing with plantar fasciatis, and it really helped.

    Good morning everyone.
