America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- December 26, 2016 – December 30, 2016 Remember 9/11

The fallout from last week’s abandonment of Israel by the U.S. in the UN Security Council continues. The question on many minds is: what does 0 have next up his sleeve?

Thankfully, the number of days grows shorter and shorter.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

The last 2016 TGIF! Thanks very much…I managed to make it to exercise this a.m. Everyone just about is dragging toward the finish line with the same cough, congestion, and fatigue.
We had some sad news yesterday about someone we’ve known since he was a little boy..J. died in his sleep apparently…happily married with 2 little boys. The old gang, including one of ours, is flying in tomorrow for the funeral Mon. downstate. An only child, too. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. J and his wife started seeing each other in h.s.

    • lysie says:

      Such sad news. Prayers up.

You are still coughing? Take care, Molly.

  1. Prairie says:

Good morning everybody, checking in. Hope everybody had a nice Christmas and are ready to ring in the New Year. How close we are getting to the Obama’s leaving….YAY!!!

As for the Jew-hating actions of Obama and Kerry…….Spit! God will punish them if they don’t repent.

There is a dance tomorrow night, we have tickets. I’m certain we won’t stay until midnight but it’ll be fun to go for a while. Weather good here, and that’s all I’ll mention. 🙂

    • Molly Pitcher says:

This latest outrage is unbearable. I remember our discussions you and I had years ago on the main line churches’ animosity toward Israel. Now our government has adopted this terrible view and acted on it.

    • Prairie says:

This latest outrage leaves little recourse but to do some serious double-edged sword cutting at the UN, IMO. Which would delight me, actually. And yes those mainstream churches are likely celebrating. So did the Babylonians…..for a while.

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

How are you this a.m.? In a winter wonderland?? We got some snow too…a couple inches it looks like.

    • lysie says:

Yup. It’s coming down hard, now. 3-4 overnight. I think with 3-6 more coming. It wouldn’t be so bad if the highway dep’t would plow like they should. They take more out in tax money and the service is less. This has been going on for the past 5 years. ;-(

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Oh golly, that is hard. that business about the not plowing…not good at all. I hear that from folks too around here. Same thing.

    • lysie says:

Last year I actually saw them just plow in the middle of the highway.

    • edinva says:

Plowing down the middle of the road is what they used to do in VA … just weren’t used to much snow and it wasn’t worth the investment to get all that equipment. When I lived in NY (Westchester/Putnam Counties, outer suburb or upstate depending on perspective) they did a really good job of clearing the roads. Not sure that’s the case any more. Probably not.

Right now it’s dry her, actually sunny but chilly, mid 40s. No complaints. But it ain’t Florida, either.

Hope you get dug out before the weekend, lysie and Molly. Oops. This IS the weekend, isn’t it?

DH and I may be going to spend the weekend in Old Town, Alexandria (VA) at a friend’s lovely little townhouse right in the midst of the lovely shops and homes. It’s all very picturesque. Will be cat- sitting whether we stay there or not, going back and forth a couple times a day if we don’t stay. Unfortunately, dear friend forgot to get a visitor parking pass which leave us subject to being ticketed. Old Town has a wonderful “First Night” on New Year’s Eve, with entertainment venues around the area, and fireworks over the Potomac at midnight. No alcohol. VERY family oriented. So maybe we’ll stay that night, which coincides with our 36th anniversary, but ‘commute’ the rest of the time till they return Tuesday morning … do NOT want any tickets. I’m cheap that way.

Think, not sure, but daughter and her family should be landing about now on their return from their Christmas in France with his family. Always happy when the flights land! Especially when they’re traveling with Zoe.

    • tillacum says:

Sorry about the ******* . Stay warm and be careful should you need to go outside.

Prairie, nobama and his side kick, sec of state, are a disgrace to our country. And they
pretend they are representing us. They couldn’t represent the slugs I find in the yard.
I have been chuckling, though. Putin will not let nobama get away with closing the Russian consulates though. He’s sitting tight until Trump. (chuckle)

  3. lysie says:

    Stop snowin’ !! /screaming.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning to you also!

    • tillacum says:

      Good Morning lysie and Molly.

Todd Fisher said he and Debbie were planning Carry’s funeral. Debbie said “I want to be with Carry”. then had the stoke that took her. Sad. She was one of my favorites.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Reynolds was a survivor, that’s for sure. She went thru A LOT, and overcame it all. Except that one last blow….

    • edinva says:

Lovely breakfast, lysie, thanks! We have rain today; temps are mid-40s, so depending on whether you’re in CNY/Ohio, or FL, it’s warm or cold. Perspective!

Can January 20 come soon enough? This guy is doing exactly what we said he’d do, pull all forms of treachery in his waning days. And I read his White House counsel (who formerly worked for the Clintons) is secretly negotiating a pardon for Hillary!

Hopefully, at some point, some adults (if there are any left) in the Dem party will have to reconsider just where they’re headed, and note how many fewer followers they have. Fewer and fewer offices held; less and less power.

Under Obama they’ve basically lost everything (tho, of course, he’d be reelected easily!). They lost the Senate/House/governorships/state houses/local offices … not much left. Yesterday I heard a talk radio person (can’t remember who) say if the Rs pick up one more statehouse, they can pass amendments to the Constitution without a single Dem vote! How amazing is that?

Their potential 2020 candidates presently being spoken of are OLD. The youngest among them is Lizzie Warren (rhymes with LIzzie Borden) who gave her party 40 whacks at 71.

      Fantastic, fun article today:

      Have a good day!

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Great thoughts and linked article ED. We will start counting the days next week til the end of this 0bomination. Can’t wait, can’t wait…the best of his administration will be the ending of it.

    • edinva says:

Molly, fortunately, the Russians are taking the attitude that he’s nothing but a lame duck and declining to play his game… so far. The Russian embassy in London referred to “this hapless Adm.” and posted a pic of a duck with “lame” written across it. The hipsters think the response was lame but I imagine it hit a note with narcissist Obama. The man is so full of himself!! 23 days, 23 days, 23 days ….

  5. Molly Pitcher says:

Oh my. Debbie Reynolds has died now. What a terrible time for the remaining family members

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

Kerry’s going to be speaking soon, and the next shoe vis a vis Israel may be about to drop.

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  8. The Raven says:

    Love this (hat tip Powerlline)

  9. Molly Pitcher says:

So the good news is that consumer confidence is surging! Hmmmmm…

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  11. The Raven says:

So Tom Sowell is retiring. Say it ain’t so. Argh

However..there is good news elsewhere. The WSJ reports there is a 100% effective vaccine for eBola.

    And…a new Morning quote

That has been a problem in my party, that when we’re in power we’re nice. We bend over backwards to work with people.

    – Maxine Waters claiming they are too nice to Republicans

  12. lysie says:

The article, The Fight has Just Begun. We all know libs are just waiting to explode when Trump becomes President. They rarely accept defeat. They may preach love and kindness, but they are bitter and hateful to the core.

    • The Raven says:

      Evil comes to mind

    • lysie says:

Speaking of evil…Molly mentioned early the Chicago shootings. Police are now saying at least 41 people were shot, 11 fatally, between Friday night and Sunday night.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

There must be some good people in Chicago to rise up and reclaim their city? Are they so beaten down? Heaven help them.
Plus another sad note…Dr. Sowell is retiring his column. What a great man. Been reading him for 30 years…ever since his Conflict of Visions. Like a strong foundation he is…something that never goes away.

    • tillacum says:

I agree, we must stand our ground when confronted by the dems. They have been working many years to make America weak.

  13. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the start, Molly.

  14. Molly Pitcher says:

Hoping everyone had a wonderful & safe Christmas weekend.
