America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- January 30, 2017 – February 3, 2017 Remember 9/11

Hello!
“Elections have consequences.” Remember that phrase? Well, the person who declared it didn’t actually campaign the way he governed….unlike his successor, sitting now in the Oval Office.

And the earlier president’s party is raising h@// because Trump IS setting out to do just what he said he would do.

AND further, it seems like if anyone is to be on the defensive, it should be the last administration which CHOSE NOT to enforce the immigration laws, and DECLINED to adequately vet refugees.

So here we are. The outrage chorus is singing loudly, and way out of tune.

By the way….spontaneous demonstrations at airports weren’t spontaneous demonstrations. — Scam has been uncovered.

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    OMB and EPA nominees advanced

    Friday Update:

“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has scheduled a vote at 6:30 a.m. Friday, an unusually early time, to advance Betsy DeVos’s nomination to serve as secretary of Education.”

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good….without the Dems, right?

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Are they ever messed up…embracing violence, or at least not condemning it, promoting civic disintegration….throwing tantrums and not showing up to vote in committee…now there is talk of some demonstration during a speech Trump will give before Congress…did you hear that?

    • The Raven says:

When I was working, my liberal boss was really curious as to why I was not enthusiastic about the Dems and asked me what I thought was wrong with his “religion.” I had one word and later regretted saying it…..”Malcontents” Both of us walked away without another word on the subject to this day.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

You changed your post? 6:30 a.m. my oh my…how things have changed in the Senate

    • edinva says:

I see they voted to end the filibuster against Secy-to-Be DeVos. I’d like to see her totally dismantle the Department of Education. It was created by Jimmy Carter as a sop to the teachers’ unions, and in these 40 years what has it accomplished? Higher scores? Better standing vs the rest of the world? A better educated generation of thinkers? Anything? Bueller? Let’s send education back to the local jurisdictions and stop imposing rules and regulations from DC.

I think the Dems are saving their strongest ammo for Judge Gorsuch. I mean, after all, didn’t they find that as a freshman in high school he founded “Fascism Forever” at Georgetown Prep? I can well see a smartass h.s. freshman who was endlessly called a “fascist,” as the left is wont to do with conservatives, deciding to name his group as he did. And, don’t you know, G’town prep is an exclusive boys’ school with high tuition? Unlike Sidwell Friends where the Clintons and Obamas sent their kids. Or where Obama himself went to h.s. in HI. The endless hypocrisy is making me crazy. And, more dangerously, hateful. Can’t let that happen.

Today Nordstrom dropped the Ivanka Trump line, and Springsteen told his audience in Australia that he and his band stood before them as “embarrassed Americans.” Maybe they could stay in Aus? At least Matthew McCoughey and Morgan Freeman of the Hollywood set have made intelligent statements about accepting Trump.

  4. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  5. The Raven says:

I was wondering to myself a few weeks ago if Obama/Clintons/NSC would bug the oval office to get back at R’s/Trump for the damage the DNC/Podesta/Wikileaks fiasco cost them. And I concluded NAH! No way. But low and behold, the President’s calls are being leaked. What in the world! Has to be the Democrats. Truly obscene behavior.

    Morning quote:

He can lead a protest. I’m leading a country.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

Price and Mnuchin have passed thru the Committee process without any Dems present? That’s what I just heard on Fox News…now it’s Sessions turn. Play hardball Senate Rs…

  7. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • The Raven says:

      Good morning Lysie

    • Jemian says:

Good morning! Eggs and ham. Very good. Gorsuch.

    • The Raven says:

Yes… I think the nuclear option is appropriate but only for Democrats. Giving the minority a say is OK when the majority is a bunch of left wing whack-o’s, but when you’re putting in a judge who follows the 200 plus years of tradition, it should not be derailed. Too I believe the Senate should retain the nuclear option but only when Republicans are in the minority. Hah !!! (think I could get NYT Times editorial space with that?)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good ness! What Early Birdies we are
Good morning everyone. Breakfast is super lysie…the snow let up by late a.m. yesterday…at least out of the snow belt , it did…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I guess, armegeddon is here, considering all the news reports yesterday, right?

    • The Raven says:

Yes…Borking is now a verb, Time to get out the coke cans and pubic hairs.

      Morning quote:

Perhaps the most important quality for a constitutionalist Supreme Court justice is something that Scalia demonstrated in spades: backbone. There will be times when the proper reading of the Constitution will diverge sharply from the conventional wisdom of D.C. elites, the legacy press and the legal intelligentsia. Scalia never wilted in the face of intense criticism; indeed, he reveled in it, as it was a sign that he was properly discharging his constitutional duty.

I can’t tell you whether Gorsuch possesses a Scalia-esque spine. Time will tell. If he does, he has a chance to be a great justice and fitting heir to the Scalia legacy.”

      – Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., ( a conservative constitutionalist lawyer )

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I just wish we could get to the topic of cutting taxes and growing the economy! That’s what his voters wanted, too. The Dems will try to keep that from happening, because that would really sink their boat.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

All the Dems have to do is focus on the fact that Gorsuch lives in Boulder. That should be a plus for them!
I think the Dems should think about the next opening… that’s when the composition of the Court would really come into play…replacing Ginsburg, for example?
But the extremist base may be forcing the Senate Dems to die on this hill.likewise…Trump has to think of the next battle too.

    • The Raven says:

Yes…taxes!!…And Healthcare, ….. I believe they should add to the healthcare bill some care for those among us who are gullible and prone to believe in utopian propaganda. The gullible come in all ages and can easily be scammed into believing the malcontents and power seeking radicals.

    • tillacum says:

      Good morning everyone.
I’m sitting here, crosseyed. Some vets (demos) are now worried about the translators who may be affected by the immigration ban. They didn’t worry about them during nobama’s reign. George soros is a busy bee making sure to bring forth anyone who disagrees with everything President Trump promised during his campaign.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hi <till…0 treated the interpretors horribly.

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  9. The Raven says:

If anybody on our side is organizing a Washington protest of Democrats – let me know
    – Maybe DNC headquarters or these guys – or maybe if we are carrying….these guys

    • Jemian says:

Trump has organized the DC PROTESTS. Today the acting ICE head and the acting Attorney General both were sacked NTOWY!

    • The Raven says:

Trump didn’t do it. They knew it was coming. They were suited up and ready to go. Just waiting for the phone call. What is the left’s problem? I wonder if it was a Christian group if it would be the same. Maybe like this (link). If, say, the Slovak Greek Catholics had determined that all who didn’t believe in Jesus needed to be guillotined and begin a premature journey to hell… would the left call them radical Christians? Would they go out of their way to settle them in mid America? Would Soros employ thousands to protest their travel ban?

But more than that..the left will stomp their feet on everything Trump does. Every one of his cabinet choices and judge nominations. Every Obama executive order reversal. And wait until the EPA reversals come. ‘

And it is a tactic similar to the one Bush used. And really, really ugly. And decisive. And I believe Soros is integral. He wants to lead the left and he wants to replace our government.

I watched a little Bill O Reilly last night and he thinks Mr & Mrs Average American is fed up with the protests. Hah … but what will they do?

Update: Bill Maher is one lib who doesn’t agree with the crowd (link)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Here’s what the other side is up to..more info: Taking down Trump
I guess we must resolve not to be worn down, at the very least….

  10. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

      Ramirez cartoon

By the way, anyone see the irony in the MSM’s treatment of the Canadian mosque attack? The use of the word terror is suddenly OK when it is an attack on Muslims. This article in the WSJ ( link: how to get around the paywall ) Liberals and immigration

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning. thanks for breakfast, and the Ramirez cartoon is on target.

Yes, the snow…and cold…it’s January! What do you know? Ugh…

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Did you see that Trump changed the positions on the National Security Council? Now that I don’t get, so if anyone does, please explain to me.
Reported in various places…National Security Council Changes

    • The Raven says:

Draining the swamp, Molly. There’s an article today in the WSJ on how to fire civil servants…probably a clue as to what’s coming elsewhere. Trump may also want to stir the pot at NSC and delete the “That’s the Way it has always been” attitude (see this link)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Thanks…those may help explain it to me.

    • lysie says:

      Well, lookie here….

Bill Clinton 1995 State of the Union immigration comments
      Transcript

All Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected but in every place in this country, are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens.

In the budget I will present to you, we will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens who are arrested for crimes, to better identify illegal aliens in the workplace as recommended by the commission headed by former Congresswoman Barbara Jordan. We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

I have read about that speech…thanks lysie Back later, sometime….

What are they trying too hide?

    • The Raven says:

Wow!! That Clinton speech is a find. That was before the Soros takeover of the libs

    • lysie says:

Sue the crap out of them.

    • lysie says:

I’m surprised the press hasn’t blamed Dennis for baiting the sweet little innocent robber.

    • tillacum says:

AH a beautiful day in central Texas. A bit cool, but sunny, it’s nice.
I’m amazed with the “spontaneous” show of outrage by the democrats and their protestors surrounding President Trump’s immigration order. It’s ok, though that Saudi Arabia, Dubai,
Bahrain and other Arab countries will not allow these “Syrians” immigrate into their countries. Georgie and Mikie are busy little beavers with their spontaneous outraging gatherings.

  11. lysie says:

Thanks for the start Molly. See you in the morning. Good night.
