Afternoon everyone. Sounds like Macron has a comfortable lead.
Meanwhile, the radio guys for the Tribe game are talking about robot umpires . Some games that might be more appealing to players and managers!

    Good morning everyone.

      YAY! Breakfast….
Good morning….hope your allergies stop bothering you soon lysie. We were outside a few days ago…among flowering trees and such. The pollen was blowing around, and a lot of people were sneezing.

Lysie…the Yankees trashed the Cubs so bad they ran out of pitchers. The Cub’s catcher pitched the ninth. He did pretty good.

And…back to politics, …. did you see? the Dem in the special Georgia House seat election is behind, so they petition a judge to reopen voter registration. How is it that they can cheat like that? And who are they going to get to vote? Dogs?

Oh, speaking of which, Here ya’ go, Molly Pitcher

I pay for all his healthcare and I buy everything he eats
I provide him with a place to live just to keep him off the streets.
Well, he just acts like he’s entitled,
Even tried to unionize the cat,
    Yeah, I think my dog’s a Democrat.

He chewed up the Constitution that I keep on display,
And every time Benghazi’s on TV he looks the other way.
I know he’s a liberal even if he won’t admit it.
He pooped on my living room rug and tried to tell me George Bush did it.

    … [and more ]

g’day all …. French election is Sunday … and it brings up a point that, well, infuriates me. IMO, one of the dumbest things the US ever did was to allow dual citizenship. So today my daughter’s in-laws are casting their votes in the French election. They are all dual citizens. Her husband, his siblings, cousins and their kids … none of them has ever lived a day in France (but they do visit pretty much annually). They don’t pay taxes there; they don’t serve in the French military. They hold French passports. His parents, now in the mid- to upper-50s, haven’t lived in France for 35 years. Last November they all voted in the US presidential election. Now … if I own property in FL or AZ but live in VA, I can’t vote both in VA and FL/AZ. I was raised and lived in NY till I was 21, why can’t I vote both in VA and in NY? How does dual citizenship with the right to vote in both countries make any sense? I’d like the USA to go back to insisting that in order to be granted US citizenship, one has to renounce any and all other citizenships. Otherwise, they are free to stay and visit so long as they observe our laws. Rant over.

I assume the Derby is over by now, but it doesn’t FEEL like a Derby day … they’re supposed to be sunny and bright. Today, at least here, is dark, wet and gloomy. But I am getting in my 10K steps for fitbit!! Met that goal all but one day over the past week. Skinny by Christmas!!!!

The sun is out there, but the mud…..yikes

9-2 payout. Can’t complaint. What was it when you placed your wager (if you did)? 40-2?

One of my brothers in law lives in Louisville so when we went down there for his daughter’s wedding he bought a box for certain of his out-of-town guests (including us) to take in a few races. Won $26. Don’t sneeze. Or ask about what we might have lost.

  6. Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning and happy Derby Day….thanks for the start and breakfast lysie
