This is wonderful. I may worry a bit about Trumps plans, but this proves to me he is a good man.

11-year-old Frank gets his wish to mow White House lawn, gets personal thank you from Trump.

Looks like OReilly’s accuser is an old fashion Dem liar LINK

    • lysie says:

Good morning, Rav. Far too often women do this.

I just posted the week’s thread…got busy last night and forgot my usual routine

    • edinva says:

      G’day, all
Looks like POTUS had an excellent week in NYC during UN week. You don’t even want to know what this annual confab does to traffic in that fair city. One hour to go one block in a car or taxi. Just horrid.

Anyway … I got a chuckle out of this piece in today’s Wall Street Journal:
“… the president had met with another counterpart, South Korea President Moon Jae-in. Speaking through a translator, Mr. Moon called North Korea’s actions “extremely deplorable,” and Mr. Trump joked that he was pleased Mr. Moon used the word “deplorable” and said he didn’t tell him to use that word. “That’s been a lucky word for me and many millions of people,” Trump said, referencing the line by his former rival for the presidency Hillary Clinton, who said many of the president’s supporters were part of a “basket of deplorables.” The president also met with Japan’s leader, Shinzo Abe.”
(the article note that this was President Trump’s 3rd meeting with national leaders before noon)

Had an early am appt with orthopedic surgeon … still not ready for the knee replacement, but did get a shot. This time, before going, it hurt like the devil. And took 2 weeks to get the appointment. Told me how to get around that if there’s a next time with brutal pain. I am now set to climb the mountains “far above Cuyuga’s waters.”

Nice weekend on tap here, hope you all have a good one ahead, too.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Take care ED. Wish that knee would behave itself. Well I am shutting down for the night with a good cozy book.

  2. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning lysie. Hope yesterday went well for you.

Trying to find some good news to post but it ain’t easy.

    • The Raven says:

Does anyone understand the Dems sudden abandoning of Russia and identity politics? If it was because of the polls, then why don’t the R’s lash out? (silly me, I already know the answer).

There’s also that simmering possibility that they were found out. The Dems did all this spying illegally and the emails were not stolen by the Russians – but rather leaked.

And why don’t the R’s follow polls?

      And why you hate

  3. edinva says:

    G’day, lysie
It’s the small things that Trump does, the thoughtfulness that comes thru despite his gruff demeanor and name-calling of his opponents. Like the time he was the only one who noticed, much less reacted properly to, the oversight of Dr. Carson.

At one point I’d read about a support President Trump rally that was to take place on the National Mall today but haven’t heard much lately to promote it? Anyone know about that? I’d hate for it to go forward and be a flop.

There is a rally in Richmond VA today by pro-confederate forces to keep the monuments to Civil War heroes along Monument Avenue. If they come down, the city will have to rename the street. Monument Ave. runs thru the heart of the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) campus, so the U is pretty much begging students to stay away. The Confederate Museum is in the Confederacy’s White House in Richmond, alas it is enveloped completely by the VCU Hospital so not likely to suffer damage. So silly to refight a war that ended 150 years ago when in the shadow of those statues live people whose lives need help today.

Rav, sounds like things are looking up for you vs a week ago. Excellent. I will need to find your posts on your happenings. I don’t navigate this site very well.

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • lysie says:

We’ll be leaving soon to help with The American Legion’s Chicken BBQ.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Good morning lysie, Jemian, Raven
Thanks of the breakfast, and enjoy the day everyone.

Raven….You take care now in your new temp. digs…Thanks for the Streak Summary….especially nice: as the game and the streak ended….led by Francona, the team left the dugout, moved on to the field and saluted/applauded the fans, who had already been applauding the team. Very sweet.
