Hello!
Well, former FBI Director Comey is looking at an 8 figure book deal! Isn’t that grand? Is Hillary! nervous? How about his former boss at the Justice Dept.?
And are you curious enough to buy it? Some publisher seems to think so.

Oh boy! Thanks Raven….those Friedman talks are priceless….God bless him and his work
TGIF!!! Thanks, Rav.
I am so thankful for the weekend. Later today, we head off to a wedding reception. I always feel cheated here. The standard is that only a very few, not even all the family, attend the actual wedding service. After that, there is a pause in the festivities and the reception starts later in a secular venue. There is a ceremony there, but the pair are already married and it isn’t recreated. Recognitions of life acheivements, and family happen and advice is given. Then, a ceremony when the wedding cake is cut. BUT ONLY ABOUT TEN PEOPLE GET ANY CAKE! After that a meal is served and we all go home. NO CAKE!
In a different note: one of our students who graduated last year asks on Facebook, given that you may only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would you choose? I wrote “The best of Marcel Marceau.” NO ONE HAS RECOGNIZED WHAT I SAID. Too funny.
G’day all – greetings from Amtrak’s Metropark station in the Garden State. My train 🚂 is in nearly four hours and the stationmaster said I *could* get an earlier one for an exchanged ticket from of $141 – so I shall just sit tight and read. Anyone wonder why Amtrak runs at a massive deficit?
Had lovely time in the Big Apple 🍎 especially the fun and informative pizza tour and my beach week, all the while carefully concealed from the sun – but am good and ready to get home 🏡. Tho when I arrive @ DC’s Union Station will be met by DHthen off to dinner with his 2 bros and wives- long day!
Best part of vacay is absence of news and politics-tho I did hear about OJ. So there’s that.
Hi, ed. Happy to hear you had a good time. YUM! Pizza tour.
Long day indeed! You are back perhaps by now on home turf…
Molly, can you believe .. the train I chose to wait the 4.5 hours for was an additional 1.5 hours late? At least the station and train were well AC’d and I had the seat up front with lots of leg room (much needed for my 5’1′ frame, of course!) Other than the delays, it was an uneventful trip, the very best kind. Met up with DH and the in-laws, and had a delightful dinner. Just got home now at little after 11p. Need ma’ zzzzzz’s. Talk to ya later!
Good morning everyone.
Good morning! As July rolls along toward its end…oh my….
Good morning, Molly and Rav.
The clambake was fun. I ate the right amount and left satisfied not stuffed. 😉
That’s good! The last clambake we went to…..chicken was offered for the non- clam people….. have you ever been clamming?
Good Morning.
lysie, you are right about medical care. When I was nursing, a patient was not turned away from our hospital, no matter their station in society. We also had Public Health in Seattle and everyone was charged what they could pay, one time I know of a woman who paid ONE DIME, that was all she could pay.
– Mark Levin
[PS: Also – if not, is it sustainable?]
Those are the choices and implications we face, now that we have totally conflated health insurance with health care, and made the latter a right. But too many can’t think beyond a phrase or too which sound nice, appealing, and FREE! Oh boy!
Growing up I never remember any of my relatives being turned away from health care or them complaining about high insurance costs.
Trump’s pick for FBI director approved unanimously in Judicial Committee
Let’s hope he’s a really good choice. The Neil Gorsuch of FBI directors??
Unanimously confirmed…wow!
This is good news.
And personal good news: My book Between the River and the Wall is available from Create Space right now. I have approved it for sale from all venues, but it takes a week or so for things to become “live” there.
And to add, it is now available on Amazon IN PRINT. I like the print better than the kindle.
Speaking of Justice, Mueller has all the symptoms of a Democrat. I believe he found nothing and now the objective is to get fired, so as to create an uproar.
Thanks Jemian…your book is launched!
Good morning everyone.
Hey! Good morning and thank you for breakfast
Good morning. You are welcome. Today we have a clambake to go to. I’m looking forward to corn on the cob. Yay!
Good Morning All. Thanks for breakfast lysie.
You are welcome, till.
I’d like to start a TV game show. Call it Who’d they vote for? You have an interview with someone like this or this and then you have to guess who the voted for in the last election
Ewwwwww, Rav. LOL
OK…everyone here needs to die for Nye
Nye can go jump off a cliff.
You first Bill.

PS: I always thought the Voter ID was to discourage illegals from voting (but many have a driver’s license)….and Obama told them they could vote and should vote here.. But another fundamental problem it would solve is people voting more than once. A Dem strategy in many polling places where there are many registered voters who don’t vote (college towns). As Obama said in the video…go ahead and vote because it is impossible to catch you.
What is this about Sessions expanding regs for assets forfeiture for pete’s sake??
Sessions is surprising me
Worrisome , to say the least.
Trump vs. the Post-West
Good morning everyone.
Good morning! Our visit here winds down today…some have already left. As the young cousins have grown up, so have their obligations. It means joyful, yet slightly bittersweet goodbyes.
We heard of bear sightings recently, but none for us…a fast boat ride yesterday was my only excitement.
Good morning, Molly. It sounds like you all had a good time.
Well, the British Open is on TV, except we aren’t allowed to call it the British Open anymore. Little did I know the Brits want to call it “The Open” and they are annoyed with the British Open name. So they gave NBC rights to televise but with the stipulation that they call it The Open. Some of the announcers have slipped up several times already.
Who knew!
I guess it was originally called just The Open?

Ouch. Looks like pure repeal is also out. Rob Portman, Ohio is off on his own again. Why can’t we rein in the detractors?
Collins, Murkowski…..
From today’s WSJ editorial:
It is unfortunate that the Republican’s job is to reverse the left’s fiascos and put it back the way it was. But that is what they do now.
The Dems will see this failure as an opening to go very, very, hard left with no push back and then watch out.

Here’s the Home Depot response to me.
Good Afternoon ,
Thank you for contacting The Home Depot. Our policy is that only our security personnel can approach or pursue suspected shoplifters. We strictly enforce this policy for the safety of customers, our associates and the general public in grave danger. No amount of merchandise is worth risking anyone’s safety.
Sincerely,

But they fire the guy? That’s what libs do. You should write back and say. “Dear Shantell, … I know who you voted for. VTY, Lysie”
If I write I’ll include that plus a few more choice words, Rav.
Good morning everyone.
Good morning! I made an announcement lower down on the page.
We haven’t had a recipe here, I think, in a while. So, here is mine for fake, quick-and-easy, hollandaise sauce.
Melt about half a stick of butter in a sauce pan. Add the juice of half a lemon. Then, stir in about 1/3 cup mayonaise. Finally, thin with water until it reaches the desired consistency.
I invented this after thinking through the recipes for homemade mayonaise and for hollandaise. It works for me!
Good morning…our picnic dinner went off very well last night…no rain interruptions..tonite, it’s someone else ‘s turn.
The GOP seems to excel at one thing. Their quest to rapidly become a minority party again. I would not have believed it possible. But, just as they allowed George Bush to get pummeled and yielded to Obama, they are going where?
Good Morning.
Yankees
– Only 9 wins in last 30 games
– Judge only 1 hit in 24 AB since Home Run derby but he had a great defensive play yesterday

Good morning everyone.
Great start to the day & good morning…
We are over on a lake in w. Maryland for the next 3 days. Our usual number is diminished by a sudden medical emergency, sad to say…very concerning
When we start a new political party, let’s call it the Tartigrade Party
– The Last Survivors
Well, maybe, but have you seen one of those? It would not be a very appealing brochure/commercial.
MOLLY…..Sorry to hear about the med. emergency, Molly. Are you okay? Prayers up.

Molly…I read the post above regarding the Cruz freedom amendment. And yesterday, Rand Paul said:
Multiple choice;
After reading this, do you think George Soros has a plan to disrupt the free world through chaos and government manipulations?
a) yes
b) yes
c) yes
d) all of the above
Evil man…evil!
Speaking of evil, what happened to Jake Tapper. Somebody converted him into a whacko lefty
Not fake news:
Veteran tries unsuccessfully to stop shoplifters– gets fired. Time to stop shopping at Home Depot? Their policy is in place so they don’t get sued by shoplifters. Really ugly
Seriously….Lost his job because he threw a paint roller at people stealing thousands of dollars of items??????? Crazy…..crazy!! Home Depot you lost me as a customer.!!!!!! Just emailed Home Depot telling them that many of their past decisions have made us go to other retailers. This one confirms why. Idiots!!
Why have freakin’ security guards if they can’t confront people!

Hi lysie….it’s my eldest cousin of this particular group…she’s been hospitalized. She was going to be unable to be here anyway, but because of the emergency, her daughter and SIL are not here. They are all missed. But most of the grandchildren in that family…all grown ……are here on their own ,and so that ‘s something.
I am fine. Thanks for prayers for her. Much appreciated…she and her caregivers need them.
Molly! I am glad you are fine. I’m sorry your relatives couldn’t be there to join you. I’m sorry your cousin is sick and I pray she gets better soon.
Thank you Jemian
I think I might be done with this book. I’m waiting a few hours before a final check. Then, hubby will check. Then, I will upload it to Amazon. I’m making it available in two ways: kindle and print-on-demand. I’ll announce it here when it is (finally) available to the public. Yay! Milestone for me.
Good for you, Jem. Hope the future success reflects the past hard work
Very good news Jemian. We are enjoying your progress and success!
Jem…
