America the Right Way -Staying Vigilant- January 2, 2017 – January 6, 2017 Remember 9/11

Hello!

We enter the final days of the 0bama administration, and that merits a firm “thank goodness”!

But it’s quite likely that they will be rough days as the about-to-be former President will make us pay dearly for un-endorsing his agenda in November. He will act vindictively, doing all he can to hamstring his successor and injure the country which unfortunately honored him with its highest office twice.

  1. The Raven says:

Interesting tidbit buried in the news. Ben Rhodes security clearance is questioned.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      oh yea, I saw that.

Very disturbing…the ignorance on display yesterday via the news coverage. Weapons can travel on airplanes via checked baggage. They must be in locked cases, not loaded, and declared at the check-in counter, where the luggage is then tagged. weapons cannot be loaded, but ammo can also be in the checked bag. Slight details can vary as to airlines and their procedures. Believe me….many people travel securely every single day under these arrangements all across the country..
Unfortunately…this particular terrorist found a way around the system, by retrieving his checked bag, opening his checked bag, and loading his weapon, and using it outside the secure area at the airport.

It could have happened at another mall, or on a street somewhere, but it happened to be outside the security area at an airport….another soft target.

Please, please….pass on this correct info..

    • The Raven says:

Yep…..the ticket counters and the baggage area are both outside security, Why use checked bags, you can simply drive up with it in your trunk,

I was in a Swiss airport where the trains from ticketing to the terminals was still outside security, Somebody could place a bomb in their transportt trains!!

    • edinva says:

Raven, happy to be reading this NOW, a week after my daughter and her family returned from Geneva!! If a terrorists really is determined to create havoc, ultimately there’s not much that will stop them. Unless we want to give up every last freedom, and we’re heading there. Think back to the World Trade Center. They had minor success on their first try, so went back to the drawing board and succeeded.

  2. Molly Pitcher says:

Ft. lauderdale airport still chaotic…people streaming out of airport.

  3. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good morning! Lots of hot tea drinking today…. Do you do that or stick to coffee?
Jemian wondering how you are doing…

    • lysie says:

Good morning. I have tea at times. Usually as a relaxer.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yes..it helps warm me up from the inside out….

    • tillacum says:

Good Morning from chilly central Texas. It’s supposed to be in the 20s this evening.
I just read the article about trucks. I think just about everyone I know here, owns a
truck, but this is Texas. A couple of my brothers own a truck, but they need it to pull
their boats in and out of Puget Sound. We have 2, ’cause we’re always hauling something. I have an F-150, it’s 3 years old and running like a top, a few dents, 3 people have backed into us. Hubby has an F-150 too but it’s older than mine. It doesn’t have dents.
TEA? I love hot tea and sip it daily. I do not care for ice tea. It tastes like wet sea weed.
How about all the hoop a la about the Russians HACKING so the Donald could win. Talk
about fake news, but the presstitutes cannot stop talking about it.
      Stay warm and cozy today.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Good afternoon till. Yes, trucks are so useful for hard work and tasks….the kind of things you do in the Land between Manhattan and SanFran.

  4. Molly Pitcher says:

Do you know anybody who drives a truck? The Ask a Journalist Show….or, another day in BubbleLand….
well, snowing, yes, but it’s crazy how the S.E. will get so much in the next day or two…

  5. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  6. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  7. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

We will never understand liberals and progressives until we recognize that they often see reality as a social construct subject to being challenged and changed.

    – Walter Williams

  8. lysie says:

    Good morning everyone.

  9. The Raven says:

    Morning quote:

What I do, as I move around you, is just this: I try to persuade you, whether younger or older, to give less priority, and devote less zeal, to the care of your bodies or of your money than to the care of your soul and trying to make it as good as it can be.

-Socrates (hat tip Dave Carter, Ricochet)

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Hmmm…an aspiration for the New Year? (I heard someone on Fox News say that “aspirations” were better than “resolutions”.) Good morning Raven – I hope that Florida weather is working its magic.

  10. lysie says:

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the new thread, Molly.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

      Aw, that looks good!
More football today, right? I DVRd a couple of Hitchcock movies last night. How are you doing?

    • The Raven says:

What the voters said in past elections:

2010 : We don’t want Obamacare, big government

2014: We don’t want Obamacare, big government, liberalism, Democrats

2016: We don’t want Obamacare, big government, liberalism, Democrats, globalism, socialism, crooked politicians

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Yep, that’s right, despite all the efforts of the MSM, etc. to push the agenda down our throats.

    • lysie says:

We are well. How are you doing?

We went to a party yesterday at our dear friend Carl’s house. He’s 87 years old and still keeps up with the younger generation. I love him like he is my father.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Ah that is so good to read. I had an older cousin who was like that to me. Boy do I miss him. Same with another older cousin, still going in his 90s…the problem is he’s over in Virginia, so I don’t get to see him often. But he is a gem.
Glad you have one of those in your life, lysie they are special treasures.

    • lysie says:

      Good morning Rav.

I would include we don’t want lies from the liberal press.

    • tillacum says:

      I love pizza for breakfast.
Molly, you are right. nobama is doing everything he can to disrupt Trump’s new job. He is acting very childish and is dangerous at this time. When he closed the Russian consulates, he put many Americans out of work.

Rave you are absolutely right. In 2016 Americans (the silent majority) spoke Loud and
Clear. We’re tired of the press and the democrat party telling us what to do.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

Afternoon till. 0 is giving his farewell speech in Chicago at some point. I wonder how he will address all the gun violence in that city with its strict gun control laws…hmmmmm….

    • edinva says:

Another beautiful lysie breakfast to start the day! What a loooong holiday week or two it’s been. We bring it to an end this afternoon with a visit to beloved Zoe and her parents who’ve returned from their Euro vacay.

Molly, I just saw an article headline with Luntz the pollster referring to this as the “Obama FU Tour.” Pretty precise. Not much he can do at this point that Trump can’t undo, hopefully. I hope O catches it back in spades after he’s out of office. Nasty little guy. I’ve said since he first appeared on the scene that his emotional development stopped on the day his mother put him on a plane and shipped his sorry arse back to HI for her parents to deal with … he was 11, IIRC.

Here’s hoping we all have a wonderful, healthy and prosperous 2017.

    • Molly Pitcher says:

HA! That is good about 0. I agree with how you put it exactly.
